Abstract: Extreme environments refer to complexity harsh environmental conditions which require demanding psychological and physiological functions, such as space, deep sea, under competition pressure. The interaction between the individual and the environment has a certain impact on the performance. Combining with the latest cognitive neuroscience research, the article reviews the previous relevant studies of negative performance in extreme environments.
