    EXAMINING OF FOK'S CUE-FAMILIARITY HEURISTIC
Luo Jin Lin Zhongxian (Institute of Psychology,Chinese Academy of Sciences,beijing,100012)
    1998, 30 (03):  241-247.
    Abstract ( 955 )
The cue-familiarity heuristic of FOK was examined in this study. The experiments were carried out on the basis of Metcalfe's study (Metcalfe, et al., 1993) which was considered as evidence in support of cue-familiarity hypothesis. The result of the experiment showed that, were 1×2 design (not 1×4 design in Metcalfe's study) adopted, a critical difference that couldn't be attributed to cue familiarity was observed. The result implied that,it is not only the cue familiarity or target accessibility but also the cue-target association that underlies the judgments of FOK.

    Abstract ( 1017 )
The present paper reviewed the main progress of studies on supernormal children, especially methodological progress,in China in the last 20 years, and the existingproblems in this field in China were brought out .The authors hope that the exposureof the existing problems may be beneficial to further research in the field in China.

EXPRESSION OF JUN-LIKE PROTEIN IN HV AND LPO OF ONE-DAY-OLD CHICKS'BRAINS DURING DIFFERENT MEMORY PHASES
Hu Jiafen Guan Linchu Kuang Peizi(Brain-Behavior Research Center,Institute of Psychology,Chinese Academy of Sciences,Beijing 1000l2,China) Jiang Shujun KuangPeigen (Neurotransmitter Research Laboratory ,C
    1998, 30 (03):  326-331.
    Abstract ( 889 )
One-day-old chicks were trained with 100%concentration of a taste aversantchemical, methyl anthranilate(MeA),and tested for memory retention at 6 differenttime points ( 10, 30 and 70minutes; 4, 8 and 24hours)after training. The brainsections were examined with immunohistochemistry method. The number of cellswhich expressed Jun-like protein was counted under the micmscope and analysed byANOVA statistical system. The results showed that Jun-like protein expression wasspecifically activated by the leaning course in one-day-old chicks. There existeddifferences among different areas in the brain, that is to say, more Jun-like protein in LPO than that in HV on the whole.Because Jun-like protein expression had similartendency with the memory trace in chicks,it could be deduced that c-jun gene mightplay an important role in the consolidation and retention of the chicks'memory.

THE SYNAPTIC MECHANISM OF SCOPOLAMINE-INDUCED MEMORY DYSFUNCTION IN THE BRAIN
Zhang Zigui Xu Xiaohong (Department of Biology, Zhejiang Normal University,Jinhua 321004) Wu Fumei (Neurobiology Research Laboratory, Department of Biological Science and Technology,
    1998, 30 (03):  332-336.
    Abstract ( 908 )
In this study the synaptic mechanism of scopolamine-induced memory dysfunctionwas investigated in the brain, the changes of the structure parameters of Gray Isynaptic interface in the hippocampal CA3 area were quantitatively analyzed in micemodel of scopolamine-induced memory dysfunction, and the effect of scopolamine onthe incorporation of3 H-Leu into hippocampal symaptosomes was observed. The resultsshowed that scopolamine could induce the thickness of post-synaptic density (PSD)thinned down significantly(P<0.01),and reduced the incorporation of 3 H-Leu intohippocampal symaptosomes apparently (p<0.001).These results suggested that thescopolamine-included memory dysfunction may be based on the decrease ofsynaptosomal protein syntheses of cholinergic system, and the changes of the synapticstructural parameters in the brain.

    EXPERIMENTAL STUDY ON DEPRESSIVE SELF-SCHEMA
Qian Mngyi, Li Xu, Zhang Guangjian (Beijing University , Bfijing 100871)
    1998, 30 (03):  337-342.
    Abstract ( 1135 )
Differences' in self-schema were compared among 30 dysphorics and 33 nondysphorics through SRET (self-referent encoding task) in this study. The results showed that dysphodcs tended to describe themselves using more negadve words, and recalled more negadve words afler the task than those of nondysphoris. The more significant finding in this study was that compared to non-dysphoric, the dysphoric group showed a less positive bias to processing state information, which were both in the tendency of recall contents and reaction time. Whereas there was ni-difference of processing bias in trait information between the two groups. The authon argued that there might be different levels in the construcdon of one's selftschema. State contents might be more on the surhce whereas trait contents might he more deep and stable, which is the core part influencing the vulnerability of depression.
