Abstract: Identity recognition plays a vital role in our daily life. Identity recognition can be based on face, voice, or both. Firstly, this article reviews fMRI studies on identity recognition through face and voice processing, including recognition of integrative identity and the subcomponent of identity, such as race, age, sex, and familiarity. The relationship between face and voice processing in identity recognition is then discussed. Finally, the article analyzes the existing research in the area and suggests several directions for future research
