Abstract: How to eliminate ethnic prejudice and discriminate, and to reduce ethnic conflict? On the one hand, Ethnic contact theory suggest that there a negative correlation, that is, the more personal contact, the less conflict. On the other hand, interdependence perspective point up an argument with the analysis of historical and practical examples that the conflict intergroup violence less likely to erupt where interdependence has become institutionalized
