Integrative and Emotional Memory Model for Depression

Abstract: The earlier emotional memory models attempt to reveal the pathogenicity and mechanism of depression. There are multiple factors, while each model only stresses on some aspect. As a result, it is difficult to comprehensive, systematically, accurately explain it.The integrative and emotional memory model integrates cognitive structures, self-schemas, autobiographical memory and implicit memory, explaining the occurrence, maintenance and treatment of depression from the following pionts of view -encoding processes and retrieval processes, and providing new ideas for prophylaxis and treatment of depression.
