Review on Psychological Contract Breach

Abstract: Psychological contract breach is generally defined as an employee’s perception that the organization has failed to adequately fulfill the promised obligations of the psychological contract. The present paper reviewed the definitions, antecedents, work-related outcomes and cross-cultural comparisons of psychological contract breach, and findings concerning the mediating and moderating effects in the process of psychological contract breach. Finally, new trends pertaining to the future research of psychological contract breach were discussed as follows: (1) psychological mechanism and interventions; (2) cross-cultural comparison; (3) individual differences; (4) improvement of research methods
