Abstract: The effect of emotional retrograde memory enhancement is a phenomenon that the emotional arousal at the stage of memory consolidation enhances the feeling of remembering. The different mechanisms of emotion on memory consolidation are outlined and digested. Stability of emotion on memory consolidation is analyzed from individual difference, modulator events and temporal window. A prediction of the application is also suggested.
