Abstract: With the rapid proliferation and diversified development of teams, collective moral behavior in teams has gone beyond individual moral behavior and become a frontier issue in organizational moral research. Traditional research has overlooked many group attributes, making it difficult to reveal the true laws of collective moral actions. In view of this, this study focuses on the combination form and collective manifestation of the moral behaviors of all team members, and proposes a new concept, team moral behavior pattern (TMBP), and further: (1) From a dynamic perspective, it conducts a longitudinal analysis of the formation and evolution process of team collective moral behavior; (2) Drawing on teams’ three-dimensional attributes, this study distinguishes three typical team types (skill-oriented, authority-oriented, and time-oriented teams) and further develops the formation logic and evolutionary trajectories of their corresponding clustered, hierarchical, and equal TMBPs; and (3) Through theoretical analysis and logical deduction, it systematically examines the impact and mechanism of the three types of TMBP on individual/team/organizational multi-level results. This research can provide a more accurate explanation of team moral phenomena, compensate for the long-standing neglect of ethical issues in team research, break through the limitations of individual-centeredism in morality, open up a new domain of team moral research, and offer practical guidance for ethical team management.
