The association between semantic network structure and creativity: Evidence from behavioral and resting-state fMRI data

Abstract: Creativity arises from the interplay between knowledge structure and cognitive control. This study aims to systematically investigate the role of semantic network organization in creative thinking across multiple psychological levels. Specifically, it examines how the topological properties of semantic networks relate to both creative ability and creative personality, and its potential neural correlates. By adopting a three-part design, this work seeks to bridge cognitive, trait, and neurobiological perspectives to provide a more comprehensive understanding of how knowledge organization supports creative thinking across different psychological levels.
