摘要: 安全学习是指个体通过识别安全信号(预示无危险的线索)来抑制恐惧的适应性机制。现有研究表明,安全学习能力受损是焦虑及其相关障碍的发生的核心病理机制之一,但目前安全学习神经机制的理论研究难以完全揭示安全学习异常与焦虑障碍的关联。因此,基于现有安全学习相关的研究成果,本研究从感知评估、安全习得、行为表达三个阶段构建了安全学习的神经机制框架,以期解释焦虑及其相关障碍个体表现出的安全习得效率低和难以利用安全信号抑制恐惧等异常。未来研究可以进一步改进实验模型以验证三阶段神经机制框架的可行性,并探索安全学习不同阶段的治疗靶点,以促进安全学习研究的临床转化。

Abstract: Safety learning refers to the adaptive mechanism by which individuals recognize safety signals (cues predicting the absence of threat) to inhibit fear. Existing studies have shown that impairments in safety learning constitute a core pathological mechanism underlying anxiety and related disorders. However, current theoretical research on the neural mechanisms of safety learning cannot fully account for the association between safety learning deficits and anxiety disorders. Therefore, based on existing findings on safety learning, we propose a neural framework of safety learning consisting of three stages—perceptual evaluation, safety acquisition, and behavioral expression—to explain abnormalities observed in individuals with anxiety and related disorders, such as reduced efficiency in safety acquisition and difficulty using safety signals to inhibit fear. Future research may refine experimental paradigms to test the feasibility of this three-stage neural framework and further explore therapeutic targets within different stages of safety learning, thereby promoting the clinical translation of safety learning research.
