Abstract: In this paper, Skinner's theory of operant behavior is analyzed in someaspects: its philosophical view point concerned; the unique concepts advanced;the basic versions about the two contingencies, private events, and verbalbehavior. Its applications to various realms are appreciated. Its merits towardthe theories of psychology are also briefly discussed.
