Chinese Personality and Mental Health

Abstract: Researches on relations between Chinese personality and mental health were systematically reviewed in the current article. Mental health was proposed as four levels, overt psychosomatic symptoms, self-experience inconsistency, behavior inhibition, and positive psychological characters, and researches on the relations between each of the four levels of mental health, and all levels of mental health, respectively, and personality were reviewed, and dimensions of Extroversion, Kindness, and Ways of Life were proposed as health-promoters, Behavior Styles and Emotionality as health-inhibitors, and Talents as health promoter-and-inhibitor. Hardiness personality and future research directions were also discussed
