Abstract: In the present study, the match between Chinese transitive verbs and the nounsjust .following them was manipulated. Auditory monitoring task and eye trackingtechniques were used in two experiments. In both the experiments, the match betweenverb and noun following that verb produced significant graded effects. All resultsshowed that lexical information attend sentence processing as soon as activated andaccessed. The fast that lexical semantic information also had an immediate effect insentence comprehension gave suppoft to Interactive Models of language processing.
