Abstract: Ancient China had very wealthy psychological theories on will,such as the conception of will,the essence of will,the relation between Zhi(direction of mind,one function of will)and Yi(operation of mind,another function of will),the functions of will,and so on.This paper probed into the essence of will in ancient China.
