Abstract: This paper consists of 5 parts:1) Historical investigation into the methodology of psychology.2) Concerning experimental methods in psychology.3) Concerning statistical methods in psychology.4) Concerning methods of class analysis.5) Natural experimental methods in psychology. The paper shows that from the point of view of methodology, psychology is backward, and this is one of the reasons for its slow development. The paper shows from the history of the development of psychology that the experimental and statistical methods used by bourgeois psychology are carried out under the impact of metaphysical methodology, and hence incapable of disclosing true psychological phenomena; nevertheless, these two methods can yield effective results under the guidance of the methodology of dialectical materialism. The paper points out that the method of class analysis is used to analyse class relations in society, not individual psychological activities. The paper advocates extensive use of natural experimental methods in research in educational and child psychology.
