Abstract: This paper introduces the basic ideas of Robert Plutchik's psychoevo-lutionary theory of emotions. It also analyses questions of emotions andevolution, primary emotions, the quality of emotions, the structure of?motions, emotions and cognition and the question of emotions and persona-lity.
