Source Memory and Aging

Abstract: Source memory was more affected by aging than item memory. The reason for this phenomenon comprised physiological and psychological aspects. The deterioration of prefrontal cortex function was the physiological factor that influenced older people’s source memory, and the difficulty of attentive allocation and the difficulty of memory procession were the psychological factors that influenced older people’s source memory.
