Abstract: This is the first part of an analytical study of the characteristics of higher nervous activity in normal and abnormal children. The experimental results obtained from 9—12 year old normal Children indicate: 1) A normal child is able to perform simultaneously functions of the two connective systems; 2) The connective systems may be maintained at the same degree when they are established on the same level, but the more complex connective system is disturbed when they are established on different levels; 3) Verbal reaction to stimulus in normal children can compensate motor disorder.
