Abstract: The aim of this research is to study the effect of visual teaching method and external activity on solving verbal problems in division in the second grade children of the ten-year school. The results show: (1) The external activity helps lower grade children to understand verbal problems in division; (2) In order to increase the efficiency of this teaching method, the conditions should be so arranged that the children have already mastered multiplication skillfully, and they take a more active attitude towards; learning.
